Quilombo Productions

Colombia is known for its beautiful women. But what about the men?

The aim of Quilombo Productions is to explore every nook and cranny of Colombia to give the world a definitive answer to that question, What about the men?

Among the plush green forests, the crystalline waters of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the expansive sand dunes and green prairies of Colombia are the treasures known as the Men of Quilombo.

Our Story

As a U.S. citizen currently residing in Medellin, I set out to show the world the amazing diversity of Colombia expressed through its people, primarily through the beauty and enchantment of the male figure.

The idea is to showcase different facets of Colombia that often go unnoticed, forgotten or ignored.  Starting with
The Men of Quilombo who are, in my humble opinion, The Key to Colombia!

Who We Are

Quilombo Productions, SAS is a small company based in Medellin, Colombia.  It began as a collaboration between two friends, one from the United States, known as The Black Gaddy and the other from Colombia, Jaxon Quavo “The Godfather of the Men of Quilombo” who sat down one day and asked themselves: Why don’t they talk about Colombian men in the same way they talk about Colombian women? With that idea in mind, they set out on a journey to change this perception.

Starting in Medellin, we went to parks, gyms, basketball courts, malls and cafes in search of the answer to the question What about the men? On this page and across several social media platforms, we document our amazing findings.

Jeremy Leon is owner and CEO of Quilombo Productions, SAS.  He is originally from Brooklyn, New York City and currently resides in Medellin.

Leon is also known as The Black Gaddy

Jaxon Quavo is from Uraba, Colombia and is currently the part-time Executive Assistant and Talent Agent of Colombo Productions, SAS.  As the inaugural model profiled in our company, Jaxon is also known as the “Godfather of the Men of Quilombo.”

Quilombo Faces and Places

The Men of Quilombo refuse to stay put!  When it comes to Colombia’s diversity, we can’t just stop at the plants, the animals and the bugs.  We also MUST include the diverse Colombians themselves who come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Black Gaddy Blog

These blogs were written over the course of several years during the times that I lived in Medellin (Colombia),  Cusco (Peru), Phoenix (Arizona) and Brooklyn (New York–not to be confused with Brooklyn, Iowa or Brooklyn, Tasmania).  There are instances in these writings when I use the term “here” to refer to the destination I was in at the time.  Though I make some modifications to older content before publishing–for example, I had to change a few things once Donny Trump was re-elected in 2024–I attempt not to make too many changes to the texts to preserve the essence of what I was feeling at the time I wrote them.

So when you read something like “they got some fine ass dudes up in here!”, I was more than likely sitting in a café in Brooklyn and definitely not in Phoenix.  Conversely, if you come across a phrase like “it’s boring AF all up in here.”, I most certainly wrote that while looking out upon the drab Southwestern desert.

Read on and enjoy!
